A total of 19 delegates working in the areas of games and XR traveled to Vancouver and Montreal. Representatives of medianet berlinbrandenburg e.V., Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and of 12 companies from the German capital’s games industry came to Canada together. The trip was financially enabled by Medienboard, the Berlin Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises and by the European Union.
In Vancouver, the delegates were able to look behind the scenes of Electronic Arts and got the chance to find opportunities for collaboration with Canadian games companies as a part of the Canada Germany Digital Media Incenitve at a curated pitch event. The second stop, Montreal contained a visit at Behavior Interactive as well as participation in the Montreal International Games Summit and the chance to network with our fantastic Canadian partners and new business contacts. Joint activities and dinners rounded off the successful trip.
