The recent developments in the United States are disturbing for us as a global law firm with roots in the United States, as individuals, and, as we have heard, for most of you too. We want to better understand and discuss with people who are closer to it. You are invited to join our virtual roundtable discussion with Mark L. Whitaker, lead partner of our IP Litigation Group in the Washington, D.C. office and co-chair of the Diversity Strategy Committee, along with Peter Beyer, MdB, senior, German Government representative and Coordinator of Transatlantic Cooperation.

Both will share their perspectives on the recent cases of police brutality and the allegations of systemic racial injustice in the United States as well as the public response and the Black Lives Matter Movement, before discussing with us the implications for business and society as a whole.

The discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Christoph von Marschall, diplomatic correspondent of German newspaper “Der Tagesspiegel”.
