Berlin-Brandenburg booth at gamescom 2023 | medianet berlinbrandenburg e.V.

For the first time ever, eight indie developers exhibited their games in development directly at the booth. In addition, there was a varied stage program. Thus, the joint appearance offered the numerous trade fair guests not only access to established companies in the capital region but also interactive entertainment.

The annual Berlin-Brandenburg reception was well attended by around 400 guests. medianet CEO Jeannine Koch opened the stand together with State Secretary Michael Biel and Media and Culture Attachée of the French Embassy, Sofia Saa. The latter represented not only the partner country of the reception, France, but also her program Women making Games.

Another highlight was the visit of the Senator for Economic Affairs, Franziska Giffey. She went into conversation with the exhibitors YOURE, Serious Games Solutions and GamerLegion and once again drew attention to the fact that Berlin wants to become the No. 1 games location. #GamesCapitalBerlin

gamescom 2023 recorded over 1,200 exhibitors from 63 countries, as well as more than 320,000 visitors over five days of the trade fair. The live stream received more than 180 million views. gamescom 2024 will take place from August 21 to 25, 2024.
